Member of Technical Staff
Associate at Anti Fund
Build the venture capital firm of the future.
Managing agents and building proprietary data and information flows are core investing skills at Anti Fund, alongside in-person relationships and technical judgment.
01 / The ambition
An asset manager for the new guard.
Anti Fund is building a new kind of venture capital firm. Our ambition is to scale into a $100B+ asset manager representing the new guard. A firm where managing agents and building automated, proprietary flows of data and information are just as valuable as in-person relationships and technical judgment.
As a Member of Technical Staff / Associate, you will help build the institution as well as the portfolio. You will build and manage agents, develop proprietary research infrastructure, meet founders, evaluate technology, and turn original insight into investment decisions. Each of those capabilities should strengthen the others.
We want someone who sees venture capital as something to build. Your work should compound: a better source of information, a sharper thesis, a stronger founder relationship, or a system that makes the entire team more capable. This is how we intend to build a firm that can operate at institutional scale with a fraction of the usual headcount.
02 / The work
What you’ll build.
Proprietary data and a sourcing edge
Build proprietary datasets and automated information flows that surface technical founders and breakout companies before everyone else. Connect signals from GitHub activity, research papers, hiring, launches, traffic, and social data to produce original investment insight.
Build and manage agents
Build, deploy, and manage agents for sourcing, research, and diligence. Evaluate their work, improve their reliability, and connect their outputs to our deal pipeline, memo tooling, and investment decisions.
Own the stats
Keep company metrics, marks, fund data, and market comps across the portfolio in one source of truth.
Technical judgment and relationships
Go deep on our thesis areas, evaluate technology, and support diligence on live deals. Build relationships with founders and researchers through direct, in-person engagement. Use those conversations to pressure-test the data and sharpen our investment judgment.
Build for scale
Automate fund operations, portfolio monitoring, and reporting. Build systems that let a small, exceptional team operate at greater scale with reliable information and clear accountability.
03 / Who you are
A builder first.
This role is for you if you’re the type who can’t leave it alone.
- You vibecode an internal tool over a weekend because doing it by hand annoyed you.
- You try every new model and agent the week it ships, and have opinions on which ones are actually good.
- You enjoy trying new AI tools in the market, like ElevenLabs and Melius.
- You’d rather write a scraper than read 500 profiles manually.
- You go down a rabbit hole on a market and come back with the dataset nobody asked for that turns out to be the answer.
- You see a repetitive workflow and can’t stop thinking about how to automate it.
04 / Requirements
What we look for.
- A technical degree from a top university.
- 2–4 years of experience in software engineering, data science, or a technical role at a startup, AI lab, or investment firm.
- Based in San Francisco or New York City only.
- A strong builder experimenting with the latest AI tools, who can build automations, agents, and workflows that people actually use.
- Able to manage and evaluate agents, trace their sources, and apply your own judgment to their outputs.
- Comfortable with data and infrastructure: Python, SQL, APIs, scraping, databases, and cloud.
- Curious about founders and technology, and comfortable moving between code, research, and in-person relationships.
- High agency. Fast mover. Problem solver.
Bonus: interest in investing, or exposure to robotics, defense, or energy.
